"I'm nobody! Who are you?" by Emily Dickinson

I'm nobody! Who are you?
Are you nobody, too?
Then there's a pair of us — don't tell!
They'd banish us, you know.
How dreary to be somebody!
How public, like a frog
To tell your name the livelong day
To an admiring bog!

'Everybody feels like nobody at some point in life. Emily Dickinson's poem "I'm nobody! Who are you?" expresses how being a outsider or unimportant can sometimes be a positive thing. As an outsider, a nobody, one is not forced to be "public." He does not have to face the scrutiny or disapproval of people. He does not have to play games, put on an act, or keep trying in order to be a somebody. He can be himself and be comfortable.'
