The best way is one on one correction. Either find a good teacher or you push yourself anytime

You raised the behaviour to pronounce words in your own comfortable way during the past 10 or 20 years ,it is not so easy just listen to radio or movie and then correct it by yourself since your imitate ability is not good enough. You must need a friend to be with you , correct your pronouncitation again and again!

I met lots of Chinese who really don't care how unstandard their accent is , or after being corrected
for one or two times , they took back their original way, If you really want to improve your accent.
You have two way :
A. try to find a friend who speaks in standard North American Accent and also willing to correct your accent anytime with patient.

B. Listen to radio and movie , repeat the words simutanously again and again , meanwhile record it , listen to your accent , compare to standard one ,what is the difference , anything to improve.
