A muster point is a pre-determined area where all employees and visitors to an organization gather in the case of an emergency. Muster points are well marked so that everyone in the facility knows where it is located. They are a single location for everyone on site to gather at.

Assembly points are locations to gather that are identified across a workplace. They may be designated by department or area of a facility. Assembly points are a location for information updates from emergency responders. They should provide access to washroom facilities as well as protection from the elements.
